Kendrick Lamar’s Damn album did extremely well and topped the charts in the United States and Canada. One of its official singles “Humble” had one of the greatest videos of 2017. Directed by Dave Meyers, the visuals were certainly like none other.

2. The Pulitzer Prize

The California native is the first non-classical or jazz artist to win the Pulitzer Prize. Kendrick won this award for Damn, which was released in April of 2017. This album also won five Grammy awards, wow!

Many believe this song to be the best song of 2018, and Kendrick’s verse on the track is just straight up fire. He uses about two of his different rap verses and for sure gets into character.
