Inside The Private Party To Celebrate DMX’s First Posthumous Album ‘Exodus’

In celebration of DMX’x posthumous album release Exodus,  Swizz Beatz and friends gathered at NYC’s Invite Only Studios for a private album release party. Swizz Beats alongside CEO and founders of Ruff Ryders, Darin “Dee” Dean and Joaquin “Waah” Dean were joined by special guests Mary J. Blige, A$AP Ferg, Angie Martinez, Conway and much more!
The event was filled with close friends and family however, it was also streamed live for fans to join virtually and get a first listen of the 13 track album.

When asked about their favorite records on the album, CEO and founders of Ruff Ryders, “Waah” and “Dee” mentioned that “Hood Blues” and “Walking in in the Rain” were their favorites.

Friends and family also raved about the Exodus album being a “Single Album” explaining that “the entire album was packed with all types of singles for every type of listener to enjoy”. Swizz Beatz’s eldest son, Nasir Dean also added that the album has a powerful “message that needs to be heard”.

Exodus which is DMX’s eighth studio album is executive produced by Swizz Beatz and features 13 tracks. “Exodus” features collabs with industry heavyweights such as Jay-Z, Nas, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, The Lox, and Snoop Dogg.

DMX’s 4 -year- old son, Exodus Simmons also made an appearance on the project, appearing in the track “Walking In the Rain” which also features Nas and Denaun. Rappers Moneybagg Yo, Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, and Westside Gunn were also featured on the Exodus album.

CEO and founder of Ruff Ryders, Waah explained, “this is the first album X showed love with a little bit of everybody on it because he wanted the love to come in.”

Waah also mentioned that the late rap legend recorded enough records to push 4 albums with the “Exodus” project being the first of much more music to come. We sure look forward to more from the late great rap legend DMX.
