Jay Z has been keeping it 1000 with his latest album ‘4:44’ down to his interviews.
The Brooklyn rapper sat down with Dean Baquet of the New York Times and opened up about his infidelity and how he and Beyoncé handled the huge rift in their marriage.
“The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself,” said Jay in the interview. “You have to survive, so you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions. So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect. In my case, like, it’s deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity.” “You know, most people walk away, and, like, divorce rate is like 50{aed8862105c0bf1391b79f1903b0821ad055f9dd6d489570942c2c99ca1c5755} or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves.”
Hov also mentioned that they were working on a joint album but they opted on releasing solo projects.
He went on to tell the world know that the couple have plenty of songs recorded together; basically hinting at a joint album in the future.
All in all, therapy and music is what helped Jay and Bey stay together.
