Last week, Nas decided to go on Instagram to give his side to the issues between himself and Kelis as the two are in the middle of an intense custody battle.
His comments gave an alternate side of the story, where Kelis at one time accused the rapper of domestic abuse, being a bad father, among other things during a the Hollywood Unlocked podcast earlier this year.
“There was a lot of mental and physical abuse,” he said. “I had bruises all over my body … it was really toxic … at seven months’ pregnant I was terrified. I was like, I cannot bring a person into this. I can’t control this. I’ve got to get out.”
Kelis has been yet to make a full statement on it, but opened up a bit during a comment on Instagram in which she said “satan is the father of lies.”
