LAPD has defined Cardi B’s recent claims of mistreatment.

While on Instagram live, Cardi B recalled a time she was stopped by LAPD and accused of drug trafficking. “They had all the helicopters in L.A. Yo, I was freaking out. They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside,” Cardi said in the live. “Yo, like, s**t was crazy. It was deada** a movie and whatever but you already know.

“I’m bout to sue the LAPD. I told them like, ‘yo, I’m Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some s**t? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no s**t like that,” she explained.

“They didn’t believe me, it was some White cops and they ain’t know who I was. It was really tough on me and everything,” Cardi added. “They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and s**t, like they really trying to ruin my life type s**t. Like y’all don’t even f**king know. I been going through a lot lately.”

Since, the LAPD Media Department spokesperson says “at the moment, we don’t have any information as to what she’s alleging.”

“The LAPD has no record of contact with Cardi B,” LAPD detective Meghan Aguilar added in a follow-up email to The Daily Beast.

In addition, Cardi B’s team expresses that the Instagram Live she posted Monday night was “taken out of context” and that there was “no truth” to the accusations she made. The rapper also says, “Ommmgggg noooo this was a joke ….I always do these jokes with my fans on station head I guess it don’t translate well on ig live …..and I guess I said it before you know…bad timing.”
