Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, is dealing with a legal situation.

As reported on news sources, Kenneth pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California. Page Six obtained court documents, and Kenneth entered a plea deal he signed with the Assistant United States Attorney in August. Initially, Kenneth said he wasn’t guilty. The article reports he’s facing ten years in prison, the full sentence for the crime. He would also face a lifetime of supervision. His next court date is January 24, 2022, and he’ll be sentenced.

In 2019, Kenny got pulled over in Beverly Hills for a traffic stop. Law enforcement realized that he was registered as a sex offender in New York but not in California. He was arrested and later released on a $20,000 bond.

Kenny’s criminal history includes a 1995 conviction for first-degree attempted rape. He served nearly four years at a New York state prison and was required to register as a sex offender.
