Hip Hop continues to mourn the tragic death of 20-year-old Pop Smoke.

Reported on The Jasmine Brand, the Brooklyn rapper will be laid to rest in his hometown. He’ll be buried at the historic Green-Wood Cemetery.

His burial location is special because it’s near where he grew up in Canarsie. The article reports this decision was made when the initial plans were to have him shipped to Cypress Hills Cemetery.

Unfortunately, police haven’t been able to lock down any suspects. The LAPD Homicide Departments said in a statement,

“The suspects are all still at large. We’re early in our investigation, but getting deeper into it…We are still requesting assistance from the public and anything they can provide us, that would be helpful…We’re not calling this some type of gang feud at this time. There’s no immediate indication the suspects are involved with a gang. It is unknown.”

50 Cent announced earlier this week that he’d be executive producing Pop’s album. This is something that Pop most likely would have wanted since 50 was someone he looked up to. Smoke’s manager, Steven Victor, confirmed with HipHop-N-More via Instagram that he’s down with the Get Rich Or Die Trying rapper taking the lead on finishing his protégé’s album.

So far Roddy Ricch has agreed to be on the project and 50 Cent would like Drake and Chris Brown on it as well. Neither artist responded as of right now. People online responded well and it received a lot of great feedback!

No release date as of right now but we’ll keep you updated.
