Easter kicked off another Verzuz!
On April 4th, the friendly battle was between the legends the Isley Brother and Earth, Wind, and Fire. Like many fans, Tyrese came dressed for the occasion. He shared a picture on Instagram, rocking 70’s fashion. Take a look:
The Fast and Furious actor chimed in on the comment section, and it has the Internet rolling. Tyrese posted, “Hate that my mother used to drink [every day] – but SHE’s the reason I know REAL MUSIC!” Alcoholism isn’t a joke, but some people on social media didn’t know how to respond to the comment.

Last year during the Teddy Riley-Babyface Verzuz, Tyrese got slammed after he misspelled “towel” as “tile” in the comments section. It could have been a typo, but you know the Internet never lets anyone forget.
On a positive note, last year, Tyrese said his “beef” with Dwayne Johnson is over. They didn’t see eye to eye for three years but are mending their bromance now.
