If you have ever watch T.I. reality show, then you know how close he was to his late sister, Antoinette “Precious” Harris Chapman. To keep her memory alive, the Atlanta rapper decided to create a scholarship in her name.

On Tuesday Night, T.I revealed the initiative on the VH1 special “Dear Mama: A Love Letter To Mama”. Recipients of the $25,000 fund will be a reward to single mothers who are continuing their education as well as uplifting their community service, just like his sister was. T.I said “My sister Precious was a single mother, who worked to make life better for her children and everyone she encountered. In that spirit of that, we are awarding a deserving student a scholarship in my sister’s name.” This year’s winner was Tierani Scott, who is a single mother and a junior at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is also the founder of Queen Women’s Empowerment Organization.
