We all know that Jay-Z and Kanye West’s relationship isn’t what it used to be, although they still consider each other family.
The family ties maybe cut short because West has issued a lawsuit to both Roc-a-Fella records and EMI publishing over owed money. The two lawsuits were filed on Friday demanding that the he receives the money that he is owed.
According to the lawsuit, West claimed that he signed with EMI in 2003 a year before he released his debut album College Dropout. He also claims that he had written for other writers as well as for himself. The documents in the lawsuit are redacted but West wants the judge to help declare his right under the contract and how much money he is owed.
