Katt Williams vs. Ludacris: Katt Drops Response Freestyle On Suge Knight’s Podcast

Round 1, rap.

Katt Williams responded to Ludacris in a new freestyle that dropped on Tuesday evening (Jan. 16) during a collect call conversation with the incarcerated music legend Suge Knight.

At the 19:25 mark of episode 9 of Collect Call Podcast with Suge Knight and Dave Mays, Katt responded to Ludacris with a freestyle, a reference to Ludacris’ 2004 hit, The Red Light District (Def Jam). “I’m coming for your number one spot, one of us a killer and the other one is not/ One of us the realest and the other one a fraud,” Williams raps to Suge.

Katt didn’t stop there, he continued to return fire with inquiries about Luda’s manhood that sent a stray shot to Quincy Jones, who also appeared in Ludacris’ “Number One Spot” music video, rapping, “I’ve never personally been with Quincy Jones, but you/ That was your girl girl, boy boy.”

Williams, 52, responds to Ludacris new freestyle released last week in response to the alluding comments made by Williams about the Fast & Furious star during his viral Club Shay Shay interview with NFL Hall Famer and analyst Shannon Sharpe. In response to Williams’ claim that he and Ludacris were up for the same role in Fast & Furious, but would have to join the Illuminati for the role, and suggesting Ludacris’ wife is an “ugly wife,” Ludacris responded with the following freestyle:

““Whatever’s heavy on my heart is always on my mind / Like Snoop [Dogg]’s cannabis shredder, I’m always on my grind / They throwing shade ‘cause n— could never take my shine / I bring my watch collection on my jet, let me take my time / Never been Illuminati, only Ill-Luda-nati,” he continued. “And I only left with bitches when coming from any party / Now I’m married with kids, the evolution of life / Never been a clout chaser, never say s–t for likes / RIP John Singleton / You never have to flex when you earned every one of your Fast and Furious checks / Afro with the sideburns, yeah that’s my signature / Addiction’s on the rise, comedians check your temperature.”

As he verbally counter striked Luda, Katt would continue to promote his record breaking interview with the freestyle. Before Suge would call the freestyle “Hit’em Up Pt. 2”, Katt raps,“You heard the interview on ‘Club Shay Shay,’ I gave ’em all a payday/ I’m still going fucking viral so who care what the haters say/ Ludacris, you must be out your rabid ass mind/ You made a rap song but, n-gga, you ain’t say I’m fucking lying.”

It’s likely that Ludacris will respond, since he has battle rap experience with T.I., Big Sean, Drake, and Latto on his resume. “Number One Spot” took shots at political correspondent Bill O’ Riley and light-skinned rappers.

Katt Williams and Shannon Sharpe’s conversation continues to be a trending topic across social media. Along with Ludacris, Williams would address past Club Shay Shay guests such as Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, Earthquake, Kevin Hart for alleged thefts of comedy material, false backgrounds, and more. The interview has generated over 50 million views on YouTube.

While his recent interview broke the internet, Katt Williams has been calling out comedy’s heavyweights for years now. He spoke on the possibility of a comedy battle against Kevin Hart during an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro and Peter Rosenberg ahead of his Barclay comedy show in 2021.
