Nicki Minaj‘s husband Kenneth Petty has made a appeal to the court to accompany his wife on the international leg of her tour.

TMZ reports that Kenneth argues he’s not seeking a vacation, but primarily required to provide childcare for their son, known affectionately as “Papa Bear.”

Court documents show that Barbie’s husband is requesting approval to accompany her on the ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour, spanning various countries including Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Romania from April 17 to July 14, 2024.

While Kenneth Petty’s probation officer has not raised concerns about the request, if approved, he will need to provide detailed itineraries of his plans and check in periodically, the outlet adds.

We previously reported that Kenneth recently updated his sex offender registry photo, marking the end of his house arrest stint. The snapshot, now on the Megan’s Law website, captures him sporting a denim shirt atop a white tee, striking a rather serious pose.

Due to serious offenses dating back to 1994, Kenneth Petty is obligated to register as a sex offender. His initial conviction, stemming from an attempted rape incident when he was 16, resulted in approximately four years in the clinker.

In 2020, he faced further legal issues for failing to register as a sex offender upon relocating to California to be with Nicki Minaj. He was apprehended during a traffic stop in November and subsequently released on $20,000 bail.

More recently, the couple faced allegations from a former security guard who accused them of assaulting him backstage at a concert. He secured a default judgment in his case, indicating that Nicki and Kenneth could potentially be liable to pay him approximately $500,000.
